In this presentation, you learn how good listening, clear roles and shared references enable jazzmusicians to take more risk. You will learn how you too can meet up with strangers and quickly perform on a professional level. the format: Carl Stormer presents and plays with a group of top-notch jazzmusicians.

Improvisation, interplay and the practice of practice are trainable skills. Through systematic training, jazz musicians have been able to hone their skills in improvisation, interplay with others and practice. Jazz as a metaphor has great relevance for expert and management teams.

The presentation shows how jazz musicians learn these skills, and the major points are illustrated with musical examples performed by world famous jazz musicians. The workshop also shows how mangement groups, project teams and other specialists can develop and practice improvisation, interplay and listening.

Flexible format. The presentation can be adjusted to individual needs and time-constraints – it could be a 25 minute dinner speech with recorded musical examples, a half day workshop with break-out groups and exercises or an evening performance where a jazz-club atmosphere is created. The content can be tailored to specific industries such as telecom, transportation, IT or functions – sales, marketing, operations, management etc.
